Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. maraschino cherries, chopped
  • 1/2 c. oleo
  • 2 (3 1/4 or 3 5/8 oz.) pkg. coconut cream pudding mix
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 lb. XXX sugar
  • 1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Drain cherries on paper towel.
  2. In saucepan, melt butter. Stir in dry mix and milk.
  3. Stir and let come to a boil for one minute.
  4. Stir constantly and remove from heat.
  5. Stir in vanilla. Beat in XXX sugar until smooth.
  6. Stir in cherries and nuts.
  7. Pour in 10 x 6 x 2-inch baking dish.
  8. Garnish with walnuts.
  9. Chill. Yields 32 pieces.
