Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 c. warm water
  • 4 c. flour
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • kosher salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Mix dry yeast, sugar, salt, and warm water until combined.
  2. Add flour and mix to form dough. Knead on waxed paper until smooth.
  3. Cut off pieces of dough and roll into shapes, not too thick or thin.
  4. Place shaped dough on greased cookie sheet.
  5. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with kosher salt if desired.
  6. Bake at 400°F for 20 minutes until golden brown.
