Ingredients

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 2 cans fruit pie filling

Instructions

  1. Bake the yellow cake according to the package directions in a 9 x 13-inch greased and floured pan.
  2. Remove the cake from the pan and allow it to cool completely.
  3. Wash the pan and place the cooled cake back into it.
  4. Spread the two cans of pie filling evenly over the cooled cake.
  5. Spread Cool Whip over the fruit filling.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  7. Serve the shortcake cold.
