Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon cloves
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 cups pecan halves

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, cinnamon, salt, nutmeg, and cloves in a glass bowl or measuring cup with water and mix well.
  2. Cover the mixture with waxed paper.
  3. Microwave on high for 4 minutes, then stir well and microwave for 2 more minutes.
  4. Stir again and microwave for an additional 2 1/2 minutes.
  5. Add the pecan halves, stir well, and microwave for 1 minute more.
  6. Spread the coated pecans on waxed paper and separate with a fork.
  7. Cool completely before serving.
