Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups cornmeal
  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups cracklings, cut fine
  • 1/4 cup bacon grease

Instructions

  1. Mix together all ingredients.
  2. Make into small patties and place in a large greased skillet.
  3. Put lots of grease on top of the bread.
  4. Cook in a hot oven at 450°F for about 20 minutes or until brown on top and bottom.
