- Mix the eggs and sugar together.
- Slowly add hot milk, beating with a wooden fork.
- Add vanilla and nutmeg to the mixture.
- Place 1 teaspoon of Grapenuts cereal into each of the six custard cups.
- Set the cups in a pan of hot water about an inch deep.
- Pour the milk mixture into the custard cups.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 45 minutes to 1 hour, until a knife inserted comes out clean.
- Serve warm or cold.
