Exa'S Rolls are soft, sweet yeast rolls with a rich flavor from milk, potato water, and shortening, perfect for breakfast or as a comforting snack for all ages.

- Heat potato water, sweet milk, and melted shortening.
- Let the mixture cool to lukewarm temperature.
- Add the dissolved yeast and beaten egg to the cooled mixture.
- Stir in sugar and salt.
- Gradually add flour, beating well until the batter reaches the consistency of thick pancake mix.
- Cover the bowl and keep in a warm place for 1 hour to ferment.
- After fermentation, add enough flour to knead the dough.
- Knead the dough until smooth and elastic.
- Place the kneaded dough back into the bowl and let it rise until doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough, then spoon portions into greased muffin tins.
- Let the dough rise again until puffy.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 12 to 15 minutes until golden brown.
