Favorite Vegetable Pickles

Instructions
- Boil the vinegar, oil, sugar, pickling salt, water and alum together.
- Put over vegetables in pint jar with dill on bottom and top.
- Boil lids and seal.
- Boil water in canner and put in jars. Cover.
- Turn off heat and leave setting in canner overnight, covered.
- Makes 2 to 3 pints.
