Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. ginger
  • 1/2 c. salad oil
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 1/2 c. sorghum
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. water

Instructions

  1. Beat all ingredients in large bowl 3 minutes.
  2. Pour in well-greased 9-inch square pan.
  3. Bake at 350° for about 25 minutes.
  4. Serve warm with applesauce and whipped cream.
