Fettucine With Ham

Ingredients

  • 1 (8 oz.) box fettucine (regular or spinach), cooked and drained
  • 1 clove minced garlic
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1/2 c. shredded Swiss or Gruyere cheese
  • fresh ground pepper
  • 1/2 to 3/4 lb. ham (leftover or deli), chopped

Instructions

  1. In saucepan, melt 3 tablespoons butter.
  2. Saute garlic briefly. Add green onions and mushrooms and continue to saute.
  3. Add ham and cook briefly.
  4. Remove from heat and set aside.
  5. Over low heat, melt remaining butter, don't brown.
  6. Add noodles and toss. Sprinkle with cheeses.
  7. Toss until melted.
  8. Add half and half. Heat over medium heat just until hot.
  9. Sprinkle with ground pepper.
  10. Add ham mixture.
  11. Toss and serve immediately.
