Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups mashed fresh figs
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar

Instructions

  1. Mash the fresh figs well using a potato masher or similar tool.
  2. Combine the mashed figs and sugar in a saucepan.
  3. Cook the mixture over medium heat for about 20 minutes or until it reaches a jam-like consistency and flakes from the spoon.
  4. Pour the hot fig jam into small containers and let cool before sealing.
