Ingredients

  • 1 whole filet mignon
  • garlic
  • fresh ground pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F.
  2. If desired, turn the ends of the filet under to keep thickness even.
  3. Rub the filet with garlic and sprinkle with fresh ground pepper to season.
  4. Place the filet in a shallow pan and roast in the oven for 33 to 40 minutes for medium rare.
  5. Remove from oven and let the meat rest for 20 minutes before carving.
