Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. chocolate cake mix
  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 c. chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Mix the chocolate cake mix as directed on the package and set aside.
  2. Beat the cream cheese, sugar, and egg with a mixer until smooth.
  3. Stir in the chocolate chips with a spoon.
  4. Line cupcake tins with paper liners.
  5. Put 1 tablespoon of cake batter in each cupcake liner.
  6. Add a heaping teaspoon of the cream cheese filling on top of the batter.
  7. Cover the filling with another tablespoon of cake batter.
  8. Bake according to the cake mix package instructions for 24 to 30 minutes.
  9. No frosting is needed.
