Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 cup plus 1 tablespoon Crisco
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2/3 cup cold water

Instructions

  1. Mix Crisco, salt, and half of the cold water until well combined.
  2. Add flour and the remaining water gradually, mixing until a dough forms.
  3. Roll out a thin layer of dough and spread with your preferred filling.
  4. Cover with another crust of dough on top.
  5. Prick the top crust all over with a fork.
  6. Bake at 400°F for about 25 minutes or until golden and done.
