Ingredients

  • 5 medium potatoes
  • water
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 or 2 cans tomatoes
  • salt
  • pepper

Instructions

  1. Peel and slice the potatoes.
  2. Cover the potatoes with water and start cooking them.
  3. Add the diced onion, canned tomatoes, salt, and pepper to the pot.
  4. Season with Mazola oil, butter, or meat grease.
  5. Cover and simmer the soup for about 20 minutes.
  6. If the soup is too thick, add tomato juice or water and stir.
