Ingredients

  • 3 cups granulated sugar
  • 3 cups brown sugar
  • 2 cups cream
  • butter (size of an egg)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup black walnuts

Instructions

  1. Boil the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and cream together until the mixture forms a very soft ball when tested in cold water.
  2. Add butter, vanilla, and black walnuts to the mixture.
  3. Let the mixture stand until cool, then beat until it becomes light brown.
  4. Pour into a buttered flat dish as for fudge or form into rolls for slicing.
  5. Keep in a covered dish.
