Ingredients

  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 small packages orange Jell-O
  • 1 1/2 cups hot water
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 2 cups orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons orange peel

Instructions

  1. Combine graham cracker crumbs and butter.
  2. Press the mixture into a 9 x 13-inch pan and save 1/4 cup of crumbs.
  3. Chill the crust.
  4. Mix orange Jell-O with hot water, sugar, and orange juice until dissolved.
  5. Chill the Jell-O mixture until partially set.
  6. Thoroughly chill the evaporated milk.
  7. Whip the chilled evaporated milk and fold into the partially set Jell-O with orange peel.
  8. Pile the whipped mixture over the crumb crust.
  9. Sprinkle with the remaining crumbs.
  10. Chill until the dessert is firm and ready to serve.
