- Scald milk and water.
- Add sugar, salt, and shortening and allow to cool.
- Beat eggs and add to the mixture.
- Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water and add to the mixture.
- Add enough flour to make a soft dough.
- Place the dough in a well-greased bowl and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in bulk.
- Punch down the dough and shape into rolls.
- Place the shaped rolls in a greased pan and allow to rise.
- Bake at 375° to 400° Fahrenheit for 15 to 20 minutes.
- Brush with melted butter when done.
- Dough can be placed in refrigerator when mixed and stored until ready to use.
- Shape into rolls, let rise, and bake as directed.
