Ingredients

  • 1 can (20 oz.) pineapple chunks
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/3 cup orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 can (11 oz.) mandarin oranges, drained
  • 3 to 4 unpeeled apples, chopped
  • 2 to 3 sliced bananas

Instructions

  1. Drain pineapple, reserving 3/4 cup of juice.
  2. In a saucepan, combine sugar and cornstarch.
  3. Add pineapple juice, orange juice, and lemon juice to the saucepan.
  4. Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened and bubbly; cook and stir for 1 minute longer.
  5. Remove from heat and set aside.
  6. In a bowl, combine pineapple, mandarin oranges, chopped apples, and sliced bananas.
  7. Pour the warm sauce over the fruit mixture.
  8. Stir gently to coat all the fruit evenly.
  9. Cover and refrigerate before serving.
