Fresh Raw Apple Cake

Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. shortening
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. chopped apples
  • 1/3 c. nuts

Instructions

  1. Cream shortening; add sugar and eggs.
  2. Sift dry ingredients together.
  3. Add apples and nuts and mix well.
  4. Bake in 9-inch square pan in a 350° oven for 25 to 30 minutes.
  5. (Batter will be very stiff.)
