Ingredients

  • 5 large green peppers
  • 1/2 lb ground chuck
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • dash pepper
  • 3/4 tsp sage
  • 1 Tbsp ketchup
  • 3 cups cooked rice
  • 1 1/4 cups chopped tomatoes

Instructions

  1. Boil the peppers in salt water for 5 minutes.
  2. Drain and cool slightly.
  3. Cook ground beef and diced onion until browned.
  4. Mix cooked beef, onion, salt, pepper, sage, ketchup, cooked rice, and chopped tomatoes together.
  5. Stuff the mixture into the cooled peppers.
  6. Place the stuffed peppers in a greased casserole dish.
  7. Bake at 375°F for 35 to 45 minutes.
  8. Serve with salad and garlic bread.
