Fried Mozzarella Cheese

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 c. fine dry bread crumbs
  • vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Cut
  2. the cheese into 36 (2/3 inch) cubes.
  3. Dredge cubes in flour, dip in egg, then roll in crumbs.
  4. Press crumbs onto cubes lightly, then again, dip in egg and roll in crumbs.
  5. Let breaded cubes dry on a rack at room temperature 1/2 hour.
