Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2/3 cup vanilla wafer crumbs
  • juice and rind of 1 lemon

Instructions

  2. Cook over hot water, stirring constantly, until thick as cream.
  3. Cool the mixture.
  4. Gently fold in stiffly beaten egg whites and whipped cream.
  5. Use vanilla wafer crumbs for the top and bottom layers.
