Ingredients

  • 1 large head cabbage
  • 3 peppers (red, green, yellow)
  • 1 carrot (optional)
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tsp celery seed

Instructions

  1. Chop together cabbage, peppers, and optional carrot.
  2. Add salt; let set for 1 hour.
  3. Then boil sugar, vinegar, water, and celery seed.
  4. Cool this mixture before adding to the cabbage.
  5. Put the mixture in a container and freeze.
