Ingredients

  • 3 c. sugar
  • 1 c. light Karo syrup
  • 1 1/2 c. light cream or half and half
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/2 lb. Brazil nuts, chopped
  • 1/2 lb. walnuts, chopped
  • 1/2 lb. pecans, chopped
  • 1/2 lb. candied cherries
  • 1/2 lb. candied pineapple

Instructions

  1. Cook sugar, light Karo syrup, and light cream or half and half to soft ball stage.
  2. Remove from heat.
  3. Beat until the mixture begins to thicken and change color.
  4. Add vanilla extract and all of the chopped fruit and nuts.
  5. Pack the mixture into a greased loaf pan.
  6. Let stand for 24 hours.
  7. Cut into pieces.
