- In a 9 x 11-inch cake pan, layer the apple pie filling evenly in the bottom.
- Top the apple layer with the drained crushed pineapple, spreading it evenly over the apples.
- Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the pineapple layer.
- Melt the margarine and drizzle it evenly over the cake mix.
- Sprinkle the chopped walnuts on top of the margarine.
- Bake at 350°F for approximately 50 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Serve warm, either plain or topped with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
