Ingredients

  • 1/2 box brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. flour (cake flour)
  • 1/2 lb. candied pineapple
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1/2 lb. candied cherries
  • 2 c. nuts

Instructions

  1. Melt margarine. Cream sugar. Beat in eggs. Add flour and vanilla. Place nuts on bottom of greased 2 1/2-inch deep 8 x 13-inch pan. Pour batter over nuts. Cut candied cherries and pineapple. Place on top of batter. When done, cut in squares. Bake in 300° oven about 40 minutes. Makes about 12 servings.
