- Place sugar, milk, syrup and butter in heavy pan.
- Cook until reaches 236° (soft ball stage).
- Add dates and mix well until mixture leaves sides of pan.
- Mixture will be thickened and dates cooked apart.
- Add coconut and walnuts.
- Mix well.
