Fruit Sorbet

A refreshing, fruity sorbet with vibrant flavors from strawberries, raspberries, peaches, or pears, perfect for hot days or as a light, delightful dessert for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 3 lb. fresh strawberries, raspberries, peaches, or pears
  • 1 to 1 1/2 cups fine granulated sugar
  • 1 or 2 Tbsp. lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Prepare the fruit by washing, hulling, peeling, and/or pitting as necessary.
  2. Puree the fruit in a food processor or blender.
  3. Pour the fruit puree into a large bowl and blend in just enough sugar to lightly sweeten.
  4. Add lemon juice, if desired.
  5. Chill thoroughly, then pour into a 1-gallon canister of ice cream maker.
  6. Pack ice and salt around the canister and process until the mixture is frozen.
  7. Keep frozen until serving time.
