Ingredients

  • 2 lb. stew meat
  • 6 potatoes, quartered
  • 1 carrot, 2-inch pieces
  • 4 stalks celery
  • 2 c. tomato juice
  • 4 Tbsp. tapioca
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. sugar
  • 1 onion, sliced

Instructions

  1. Put the stew meat into the bottom of a 13 x 9-inch baking dish.
  2. Add the potatoes, carrots, onion, and celery on top of the meat.
  3. Sprinkle tapioca over the ingredients.
  4. Pour tomato juice on top, then add salt and sugar.
  5. Cover with foil and bake at 250°F for 5 hours.
