Ingredients

  • 6 c. sliced, cooked beets
  • 2 medium onions, peeled and sliced
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 4 Tbsp. melted oleo
  • 2 tsp. cornstarch
  • 1/3 c. vinegar
  • 1/3 c. water

Instructions

  1. Simmer onions in melted butter until tender.
  2. Stir in sugar, cornstarch, and salt.
  3. Add water and vinegar.
  4. Add beets and simmer for 30 minutes to blend flavors.
