- Beat the eggs in a bowl.
- Add 1 cup of milk and continue beating until well combined.
- Sift the flour with the salt and sugar, then add to the mixture.
- Add the remaining milk and mix to form a thin batter.
- Heat an iron frying pan fairly hot and melt a tablespoon of butter in the bottom.
- Pour 2 or 3 tablespoons of batter into the pan and tilt to cover the bottom evenly.
- When the top is set, dot with a teaspoon of butter and flip to cook the other side.
- Serve with butter and sugar rolled up or with applesauce.
