Ingredients

  • 3 lb hamburger
  • 1 large head cabbage
  • 2 medium onions
  • garlic
  • salt
  • pepper

Instructions

  1. Combine hamburger, sliced cabbage, chopped onions, garlic, salt, and pepper in a pot.
  2. Cook at low heat, stirring occasionally until the mixture is cooked through.
  3. Drain the cooked mixture and let it cool.
  4. Roll out bread dough to 3/8-inch thickness.
  5. Cut the dough into rectangles measuring 3 x 6 inches.
  6. Place 1/2 cup of the cooled meat mixture on one end of each rectangle.
  7. Fold over the dough to enclose the filling and seal the edges.
  8. Place the filled dough rectangles on a greased cookie sheet and let them rise.
  9. Bake at 375°F (190°C) until golden brown, approximately 20-25 minutes.
