- Roll steaks very thin.
- Spread a thin layer of hot German mustard on each steak.
- Place a slice of ham and a quartered dill pickle on each steak.
- Roll up each steak and fasten with a toothpick.
- Dredge the rolled steaks in seasoned flour.
- Brown the coated steaks in a small amount of hot oil.
- Arrange the browned steaks in a single layer in a baking pan.
- Add some of the seasoned flour to the hot oil and make a thin water gravy.
- Pour the gravy over the steaks, enough to cover them.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour.
