Ginger Glazed Spareribs

Ingredients

  • 3 lb. pork ribs
  • water
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/3 c. lemon juice
  • 1/4 c. soy sauce

Instructions

  1. Place ribs in 6-quart Dutch oven. Add water to cover. Cook 45 minutes
  2. or until tender. Drain and set aside.
  3. Combine sugar, cornstarch, salt, ginger and pepper in 2-quart saucepan. Stir in lemon juice, soy sauce and 1/4 cup water.
  4. Cook until mixture begins to thicken, about 3 minutes.
  5. Brush sauce on each side of ribs and broil in oven until golden brown or can brown on grill.
