Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon margarine
  • 3 or 4 firm bananas
  • 2 teaspoon Fruit Fresh

Instructions

  1. Mix sugar and cornstarch in a microwave-safe container.
  2. Add water to the mixture.
  3. Cook in microwave until thick, about 4 to 5 minutes.
  4. Add margarine or butter flavoring to the syrup.
  5. Fill an 8-inch baked pie crust with slices of bananas tossed in Fruit Fresh.
  6. Pour the glaze over the bananas.
  7. Cover the top with whipped cream or topping.
  8. Chill the pie before serving.
