Chocolate Caramel Corn
Decadent chocolate caramel corn combines crunchy popcorn with rich cocoa, sweet caramel, and toasted pecans, perfect for parties, movie nights, or sweet snack cravings.

- Preheat oven to 250°F (120°C).
- In a large bowl, combine popped popcorn and pecan halves; set aside.
- In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, cocoa, salt, corn syrup, and water.
- Cook over medium heat for 15 minutes or until a candy thermometer reaches 248°F (120°C).
- Remove from heat and stir in margarine or butter, baking soda, vanilla, and chocolate extract if desired.
- Pour the caramel mixture over the popcorn and pecans, stirring to coat evenly.
- Spread the mixture in a 15 x 10 x 1-inch pan.
- Bake at 250°F (120°C) for about 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.
- Cool completely and break into pieces.
