Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup salad oil
  • 2 tablespoons corn syrup
  • 1 quart pecans

Instructions

  1. Mix salad oil and corn syrup in a saucepan.
  2. Heat gently, then stir in the pecans.
  3. Transfer the coated pecans to an iron skillet and bake in a 250°F oven for 1 hour, stirring 4 times during baking.
  4. Remove from oven and let cool.
  5. Transfer the cooled glazed nuts to jars or canisters with lids for storage.
