Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/3 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2/3 teaspoon salt
  • 5 ounces shortening

Instructions

  1. Blend the flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt together.
  2. Add cold water and shortening to the dry ingredients and mix into a dough.
  3. Roll out the dough to a thickness of 1/4 to 1/3 inch.
  4. Cut the rolled dough into squares or desired shapes.
  5. Bake on an ungreased sheet at 350°F for 15 minutes.
