Ingredients

  • 2/3 c. shortening
  • 1 lb. pkg. brown sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 c. plain flour, sifted
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 pkg. semi-sweet chocolate morsels (12 oz.)

Instructions

  1. Cream shortening and brown sugar.
  2. Add all other ingredients and mix.
  3. Pour into greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
  4. Bake 30 minutes at 350°.
  5. Let cool for 10 minutes.
  6. Cut into little squares.
