Ingredients

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 2 c. shelled Spanish peanuts
  • 1/2 c. white corn syrup
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 to 3 Tbsp. margarine

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, combine sugar, water, syrup, and peanuts.
  2. Cook until the peanuts pop and the sugar turns a caramel color.
  3. Remove from heat and add margarine, soda, and vanilla.
  4. Mix well; pour into a pan to cool.
  5. Break into pieces once cooled.
