Good Caramel Corn

Ingredients

  • 2 c. light brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. light corn syrup
  • 2 sticks butter or margarine
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • pinch of cream of tartar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 8 qt. popped corn

Instructions

  1. Bring first 3 ingredients
  2. to a boil.
  3. Boil for 5 minutes.
  4. Remove from stove.
  5. Add soda, cream of tartar and salt. Pour over the popped corn. Stir until covered.
  6. Bake 1 hour at 200°.
  7. Shake or stir with wooden spoon every 10 to 15 minutes while baking.
