Ingredients

  • 5 lbs. russet potatoes, peeled
  • 6 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 c. sour cream

Instructions

  1. Boil the peeled russet potatoes until done.
  2. Mash the cooked potatoes with softened cream cheese, garlic salt, salt, and pepper.
  3. Transfer the mashed potatoes into a greased casserole dish.
  4. Chill the casserole if making ahead; can be frozen or refrigerated for 3-4 days.
  5. Before baking, defrost or bring to room temperature.
  6. Bake in a 350-degree Fahrenheit oven for 30-45 minutes until heated through and bubbly.
