Grace'S Prune Cake

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1 c. Wesson oil
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt, nutmeg, cloves, allspice and cinnamon
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 c. cooked prunes, chopped

Instructions

  1. Beat eggs, sugar, milk and oil.
  2. Mix dry ingredients together and add to the egg mixture.
  3. Add prunes and nuts last.
  4. Grease and flour a flat pan and bake 1 hour at 350°.
  5. This is very simple to make and very good; stays moist for days.
