Instructions
- Place sliced strawberries in a colander and pour boiling water over them.
- Drain the strawberries thoroughly.
- Put the drained berries into a heavy pan.
- Add 2 cups of sugar to the berries and bring to a boil.
- Boil slowly for 5 minutes.
- Add the remaining 2 cups of sugar.
- Boil for another 5 minutes.
- Let the mixture set overnight.
- Seal and refrigerate the preserves.
