Spiced Orange Mold

A vibrant, spiced orange mold combining mandarin oranges with warm cinnamon and cloves, perfect as a refreshing dessert or festive treat for gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 11 oz. can or 1 1/2 cups mandarin orange sections
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon whole cloves
  • 6-inch cinnamon stick
  • 2 (3 oz.) packages orange gelatin
  • 2 cups cold water
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup broken walnuts or pecans

Instructions

  1. Drain oranges; reserve syrup.
  2. Add water to syrup to make 1 3/4 cups.
  3. In a saucepan, mix syrup, salt and spices.
  4. Cover and simmer for ten minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and let stand, covered, for ten minutes longer.
