Ingredients

  • 5 egg yolks
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup Grand Marnier
  • 1 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Beat egg yolks with sugar in a double boiler with an electric mixer for 10 minutes over 2 inches of water in the pan.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in half of the Grand Marnier.
  3. Cool the mixture and refrigerate until chilled, which can be done ahead.
  4. Beat the heavy cream until almost stiff peaks form.
  5. Fold the whipped cream into the chilled yolk mixture.
  6. Stir in the remaining Grand Marnier.
  7. Serve with pineapple, cantaloupe, honeydew, strawberries, or watermelon.
