Ingredients

  • 1 c. chopped dates
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/4 c. flour
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Pour
  2. 1
  3. cup boiling water over
  4. dates and
  5. soda.
  6. Let cool. Mix together all the remaining
  7. ingredients
  8. and add to dates and soda mixture.
  9. Bake at 350° for 30 to 45 minutes.
