Ingredients

  • 5 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. oil
  • 1 tsp. salt (omit if using self-rising flour)
  • 1 1/2 c. warm water
  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 1/4 c. sugar

Instructions

  1. Mix together water, oil, sugar and salt.
  2. Dissolve yeast in a small amount of warm water.
  3. Add to the first mixture.
  4. Add flour. Let rise until double in bulk.
  5. Work down and shape into loaves. Allow to rise a second time.
  6. Bake at 325° for 45 minutes.
