Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups boiling water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 cups commercial refrigerated grapefruit juice

Instructions

  1. Combine boiling water and sugar, stirring until sugar dissolves; let cool.
  2. Add grapefruit juice and mint.
  3. Pour mixture into a 9-inch square pan.
  4. Freeze until almost firm.
  5. Spoon mixture into a mixing bowl.
  6. Beat at medium speed with an electric mixer until slushy.
  7. Return mixture to pan and freeze for 8 hours.
  8. To serve, let mixture stand at room temperature for 20 minutes.
